On Friday the 12th of May, we hosted our annual Noho Marae for identified Maori and Pasifika Students’. A fantastic turnout of 45 students’ came and enjoyed an evening of sport, singing, dancing and sleeping ‘Marae style’ in the PAC. The feedback from parents’ and students’ was that students’ felt a sense of belonging (whanaungatanga) and celebrated their tikanga (values). They also made connections with students’ from all over the school. It was a huge success and we look forward to the next one. Many thanks to the teachers and staff who took time out to help running and overseeing it all.
