On Wednesday 4 December, as part of their community engagement programme, the Moana Pasifika Super Rugby team spent the afternoon at Northcross. Arriving at lunchtime, players were able to mingle with students on the field, signing autographs and joining in with games. During Block 5, players met with members of our Māori and Pasifika group, boys and girls rugby teams and Rooms 44 & 49. During this time, players shared their cultural backgrounds, rugby careers, future aspirations and answered any questions from our students. When not involved in the Q&A, students were engaged in mini games and fitness drills on the field.
This was a fantastic afternoon and we look forward to continuing the successful relationship with Moana Pasifika in 2025, and supporting them at their home games which will be held at North Harbour Stadium.
