NZ National Robotics Title for Two NX Students

Two Northcross Students,  Ryan and Novak Zhao, were part of a team that won the middle division of the NZ National VexIQ Robotics competition in Palmerston North in early this month

Thirty two teams from around the country competed for the title. Their team was placed third after 11 qualifying matches with the top 10 teams progressing to the finals. Beyond expectations, their team worked extremely well under pressure and achieved the highest points to take out the National Championship title!

Although new to the middle school division their hard work paid off and the team will head to Dallas in April/May to have another attempt at the World Robotics Championship in 2025.
