We are very lucky and proud to have the opportunity to display Georgia Hale’s ‘Golden Boots’ Trophy here at Northcross. Georgia Hale is a New Zealand rugby league footballer who plays for the Gold Coast Titans in the NRLW. Georgia is a former Northcross student and 2008 Sports Class member, she has represented New Zealand in touch and tag football before switching to Rugby League.

In her time in the game Georgia has compiled a huge list of achievements and milestones including,  representing NZ at the NRL Auckland Nines, being named Player of the Match in New Zealand’s 26–16 ANZAC Test win over Australia, being named New Zealand Player of the Year at the RLPA Players’ Champion awards, playing in Rugby League World Cups, NRLW Warriors women’s player and captain, Young New Zealander of the Year in 2019, winning the Veronica White Medal for her off-field work in her local community, and NRLW Gold Coast Titans captain in 2023 & 2024. Georgia’s efforts on the field earned her the 2023 IRL Golden Boot Award for women’s best rugby league player in the NRLW competition.
