Student Wellbeing
Northcross Intermediate is committed to creating an environment that nurtures not only academic growth but also the overall wellbeing of each student.
We understand that a student’s success is not solely defined by their academic achievement but by their happiness, resilience, and ability to thrive in all aspects of life. With this in mind, we have implemented a comprehensive wellbeing programme to support the emotional, social, and physical development of our students.
PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning)
We embrace the PB4L Restorative Practice model, which is centred on fostering and maintaining respectful relationships within our school community.
This model equips our staff with best-practice tools and techniques to both sustain and restore relationships among staff, between staff and students, and student to student. By prioritising positive, respectful interactions, we find that challenges and issues are more effectively managed.
Parents & Whānau
We recognise the importance and value of working alongside parents and whānau to support our learners. Should we have concerns regarding your child, whether it’s changes in behaviour or progress, we will be sure to contact you and involve you with any support decisions.
