On Wednesday 14 August Northcross took part in the Intermediate Schools North Harbour Cross Country Championships. This year, a new venue, and course waited for us at Warkworth Show Grounds. The 3km was new to all the participates and did not disappoint with sections going in and around the horse equestrian arena. All four teams were successful in completing the course. However, our standout individuals were Tyler Poland 2nd in the Year 8 Boys, Connor Dennis 3rd in Year 7 Boys and Jasmine Cate 9th in Year 8 Girls. In addition, our Year 8 Boys team went on to take out first place in the team’s event – all these runners were selected to represent North Harbour at the Auckland Championships.
