Kia ora Parents and Whanau
On a positive start we have had over a term of uninterrupted teaching and learning. As you would have heard on tonight’s news we will be entering Level 4 Lockdown for the next 7 days.
From tomorrow schools will be closed. Our teachers will be preparing their online learning tomorrow ready for the students on Thursday 19th August. All requirements will be emailed to both parents/caregivers and students.
The Northcross Plan:
We will communicate important messages to families on our E-tap parent portal, and our website.
Teachers will be available online Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00pm, including Zoom Meetings and for email communication.
Learning will be available for students to complete each day. This may include the completion of projects - e.g. Mars Colony or the Puriri Project Based Learning. The Specialist/Technology Programme will also be available online. As a school we also support excellent websites such as Education Perfect, and Write that Essay, both websites we use at school to support our teaching and learning programmes.
As in previous lockdowns, teachers will mark online learning and give students feedback and advice on next steps
We will also have our IT specialists available for troubleshooting and general assistance.or our IT contractor Terry Perreau,
Our website home page has a link; Learning at Home 2021. This link has been set up for our students to assist them with the continuation of their learning.
TVNZ On Demand has a range of online learning programmes that are accessible to all.
Thank you for your amazing support of our school this year. Please look after yourselves and keep safe over the next little while as we unite to fight this grizzly foe.
