Our annual school speech competition was held at school on Friday 27 July 2018. Each team in the school nominated their top two speakers to compete in the finals and the standard was exceptionally high this year. The audience had the opportunity to listen to speeches on a diverse range of topics and I would like to commend all those who participated.
Our judges, Helen Gaensicke and Frank Phillips from Long Bay Toastmasters, and our very own Mark Jensen had a difficult task on their hands in selecting the top speaker. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Bourhill of Room 20 for her very passionate speech on nappies. We look forward to entering the Rotary and APPA Speech Competitions in the coming weeks.
