As part of our Health Curriculum, students in Year 7 are taking part in classroom lessons about the physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty. At Northcross, we offer a parent and child evening that covers content addressed in classrooms. It will be presented by Anna Sanford from ‘Hello my name is Puberty’. Anna is a registered nurse, who has worked as an Adolescent Public Health Nurse for Waitemata District Health Board.
The evenings will be held on Tuesday 21 May and Wednesday 22 May from 6.30pm – 7.30pm, in the PAC (Performing Arts Centre).
Please attend only one evening between 6:30-7:30pm. Each student attending MUST be accompanied by an adult (no younger family members please – their turn will come). This is for Year 7 students, although any Year 8 student who missed out on the pubertal change evening last year is welcome to attend with an adult.
This programme is FREE.
