On Friday 13th December we held our annual NX Poetry Slam. The standard this year was exceptional and our finalists spoke with passion, confidence and skill. Individuals, pairs and groups presented their poems with impressive energy and the audience was blown away by the array of topics covered across these events.
The winner of the Year 7 competition was Safwan from Room 9.
The winners of the Year 8 competition were Jason and Yigu from Room 54. Slam Poetry is a growing movement in NZ and Northcross certainly has some up and coming talent in this arena. Congratulations to all our incredible poets and also our fantastic audience.
