Drawing inspiration from the Netflix Series ‘100 Physical’, we thought Northcross Intermediate would be the perfect environment to replicate this gruelling event. An event where 100 people compete against each other for the top male and female position, and take home some epic prizes. A massive shout out to our sponsors Bounce, Northern Rocks Climbing, Tree Adventures, and Burger Fuel who put up some amazing prizes. Our students have a reputation for taking on a challenge, and sure enough over 260 students registered for the pain and the gain. After a series of preliminary physical exercises we selected the top 100 students – 50 boys and 50 girls.

Over the first 4 weeks in Term 3 the 100 warrior wannabees endured 48 different physical and mental challenges – each round came the pressure of elimination. Courageously, they withstood a host of wild tests that pushed their limits – blood, glory, sweat, tears, laughter, and insane personal growth…. we had it all! A few memorable moments worthy of mention were the: modified Beep Test that involved carrying chairs, judo rolls, and push ups, eating a mixed cup of locusts, and the finale at Bounce’s X Park Ninja Warrior Course.

The top ten (5 girls and 5 boys) made it through to the final showdown at Bounce. For 2 hours they honoured the struggle and pushed through 3 different courses. Massive congratulations to our girl competitors: 1st Leah Ellis (Rm 15), 2nd Jasmine (Rm 15) and 3rd place Lace Patuki (Rm 49). A legendary effort from the boys; 1st Yuto Han (Rm 52), 2nd Connor Dennis (Rm 48) and 3rd place Xavier Grogan (54).

Thank you so much to all the staff who helped organise the entire show: Mr Washer, Mr Dennis, Ms Hale, Mrs Terblanche, and Mrs Haslam – so appreciate you all. Also, a massive shout out to Room 46 and Room 49 students for helping setup and run the events.
