How to Register for NX Touch

Firstly, you need to read this info very carefully & check it when registering on the Google Form. The Google form can be found on the link button below. When you register it has to be done with your (student) NX gmail account.

You will then need to attend as many trials as possible to be seen (if you choose the ‘Competitive’ option; see below for other options).

We understand you have other commitments, but the more we see you, the easier it is for us to place you in a team!

You have two options when it comes to Northcross Touch:

  1. Competitive-You can trial for a team and we put you in a team according to your ability level, NOT whether you are Year 7 or Year 8.
  2. Social A-If you do not want to trial, we can put you in a team if you just want to get out there & play and we have enough coaches.
  3. Social B-you can put your own team together. HOWEVER, your team will not be registered in the Module unless you have the following:
    A) Somebody willing to coach you on Thursday nights.
    B) A minimum of 10 players.
    C) Each team player will need to know your Team Name
    BEFORE registering.

Competitive Teams (Option1)

If you select this option, you will need to attend trials. You will then be put into a team according to your ability (so might be Y7 and Y8’s in the team) and your team will be appointed a coach (if we can.) Please also note that if you do not make our Boys/Girls A Teams, but you are ranked in the next top 6 boys/girls, you will be selected in the Mixed A Team. Please indicate if you are okay/not okay with this option on the Google Registration Form.  If you answer no, then you will be placed in the Girls/Boys B Team.

Social Teams (Option A)

If you select this option, you don’t need to do anything! We will just put you in a team so you can just get out there & play!

Social Teams (Option B)

(See # 3 above)

Once you have decided if you are playing then it is simply a case of registering via the Google Form (see link button below) Payment is made via the Online Shop. You will have to Register before you pay!

Touch Registration

Key Dates/Deadlines

  • Both Competitive and Social OPTION A Players attending AIMS must be registered by FRIDAY 6th SEPTEMBER.
  • All other players not attending AIMS must be registered by FRIDAY 13th September.
  • Social OPTION B players/teams must be registered by TUESDAY 24th September.
  • Once registered, payment to be made via Online Shop by FRIDAY 27th September.

Please note: If your child has not registered and not paid then they will not be considered for selection. This is to eliminate people pulling out after selections and teams are named, which has been an issue. No refunds without a legitimate reason.

Any questions, please see Mr. Shane Vallender (Room 9)

Coaches, managers & umpires

Each Touch team will need a coach and manager. If we cannot get enough coaches we will have to reduce the number of teams and unfortunately some children may miss out on playing. If you are interested in being a coach or manager for Touch, please indicate this on registration.

All coaches and managers are required to be police vetted by Northcross. If you are keen to take on one of these roles and have not yet been police vetted by our school, please email the Sport Department and we will send you through the relevant forms to fill out.
